Amendment of the VAT registration threshold in Albania

On 21 October 2009, the Albanian Council of Ministers, following the proposal from the Ministry of Finance, approved a new registration threshold for VAT purposes in Albania.

Starting from 1 January 2010, any individual or legal entity conducting commercial activity in Albania is obliged to register for VAT, if the annual turnover exceeds ALL 5 million in a calendar year.
